A spin into a dip!
As the follower is spinning, it’s a good idea to look at the leader. We call this ‘spotting’ and it helps with balance.
There’s no need to do a really fast turn. Keeping your balance is more important.
Leaders need to counterbalance the weight of the followers by leaning away.
Followers need to keep their spine a straight line. Avoid ‘swan diving’ backwards which will throw you off balance.
Be sure to hold your dip for at least 5 seconds! It’s like sign language that tells the audience that your dance is over and it’s ok to clap now.
